Sewing for Girls in Need

Today while on my lunch break at work, i did my regular browsing of craft sites and blogs, and i came across a blog called Sew Delightful and was amazed at what i saw... They make dresses, scarves, pjs for girls in need all over the world-- so far they have donated 12,000 dresses to 35 countries all over the world, and this year they hope to reach a goal of 50,000 dresses!

They use a simple but lovely pillowcase dress pattern, that can be adorned with  a pocket, a little lace or a vintage handkerchief to make the dresses a little more unique!

Want to help?? There are so many ways...

You could:
~ Sew with a group or on your own

~ You don't sew? Come to a group and cut or press dresses

~ Start a sewing group in your area

~ Donate Pillowcases

~ Donate elastic, trim and thread

~ Donate Fabric

~ Share Sew Delightful and the Dress A Girl Around the World blog with others

~ Spread the word about Dress A Girl Around the World

~ Sponsor a lady in need through Hope4Women International (giving her training and a new life)

~ Go and deliver dresses

Imagine a World where every little girl owned at least one dress
